How to Register

Registration opens on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. Registration for grades TK-5 closes on 3/22/23 at 11:30 pm Pacific and Preschool registration closes on 3/29/23 at 11:00 pm Pacific. When space is full, campers will be placed on a waitlist in the order applications were received, with current PJCC Center Members receiving priority, followed by current Community Members. Registration takes place in MyPJCC, the PJCC’s registration site.

Payment and Deposits
  • Full payment for Spring Camp Keff is due upon enrollment, including extended care. $50 per camp week is considered a non-refundable deposit.
  • Changes to and/or withdrawals from camp sessions, including extended care, are subject to a $15 administrative fee per change.
Refunds, Pro-rates and Cancellations
  • There are no refunds after March 15, 2023.
  • There will be no reduction or refund of fees for camp programs or extended care because of absence, illness, suspension/expulsion or withdrawal due to changes in family circumstances during camp sessions.
  • No partial enrollment or proration is available.
  • A non-refundable deposit portion of $50/week is included in all camp registrations.
  • Please allow up to 3 weeks for refunds to be processed.
  • All requests for refunds must be received in writing to the camp office by March 15, 2023.
Additional Camp Policies
  • Programs are subject to cancellation based on camper enrollment. Programs may be changed.
  • Late Pick Up – If your child is not picked up at the pick-up time you registered for, a late fee will be assessed. Campers that are not picked up after 3:00 pm pick-up will be placed in Extended Care and charged according to the equivalent of one day in that program. If a child is not picked up at 6:00 pm, they will be charged according to the following scale:
    • 1-20 Minutes…$20
    • 21-30 minutes…$40
    • 31-60 minutes…$80
  • A week prior to camp, you will receive a parent packet via email with additional information and camp policies.
  • All campers and their families must follow the PJCC’s COVID Protocols. Please monitor for COVID exposure or symptoms prior to the start of Camp.
Financial Assistance Available

The PJCC is proud to provide financial assistance to families with financial need. Adjustments are based on financial need and budgetary considerations and require a separate application. To apply, please email camps@pjcc.org, requesting the financial aid application for seasonal camps. Applications must be received no later than March 15, 2023. Submitting a financial assistance application is not a guarantee of financial assistance.

Publicity

Unless otherwise specified in writing, you grant permission to Peninsula Jewish Community Center (PJCC), including the Camp Keff program, its agents, and its employees the irrevocable and unrestricted right to take, use, copyright, and produce photographs and videos taken of your child, yourself, and members of your family while participating in PJCC and Camp Keff activities for any lawful purpose, including print and/or electronic publication, promotion, social media, Web content, illustration, advertising, trade, or historical archive in any manner or in any medium. You hereby release PJCC and its legal representatives from liability for any violation or claims relating to said images or videos. Furthermore, you grant permission to use the statements of your child, yourself, and members of your family given during an interview or evaluation with or without your name for the purpose of advertising and publicity without restriction to time limit or geographic area. You waive your right, your child’s rights, and your family’s rights to any and all compensation stemming from the use of these materials.

American Camp Association

Grades K – 12 camp programs are accredited by the ACA. This ensures the highest quality programs and safety for your camper. For more information regarding ACA and the accreditation process, please visit the ACA website.

Ways to Save

PJCC Member Discounts

Families with a PJCC Fitness Center Membership will receive a $50 per week discount. (Note that all families who enroll in the JCC’s 2023-24 school year Preschool and Treehouse @ the J programs will get a COMPLIMENTARY, PJCC FITNESS MEMBERSHIP for their family!)

New Multi-Week Savings

When you purchase five or more weeks of camp, you’ll receive $50 in PJCC Bucks for each week purchased beyond your first four. This discount is also available for families whose total camper weeks for more than one child equals 5+ weeks.

Financial Assistance

We know that the cost of summer day camp might be a financial strain for some families, and we are committed to ensuring that participation in Camp KEFF is an option for every family, regardless of financial constraints. Our financial assistance program is open to all children and helps to ensure that campers from a wide range of socio-economic circumstances get to be part of the transformative Camp KEFF experience.

We use the online service “Financial Aid for School Tuition” (FAST) as the standard submission format to process need-based financial aid requests. All information gathered on the FAST web portal remains confidential. Fee adjustments are based on financial need and budgetary considerations and submitting a financial assistance application is not a guarantee of financial assistance.

To apply for Financial Assistance, please follow the steps below:

  • Make your camp selections here to provide camper information and indicate which camp sessions you’re interested in.
  • An email will be sent to you with a link to the FAST – Camp KEFF application
  • The application process is self-guided. Applicants should use their name as it appears on your tax return.
  • IMPORTANT: If this is your second FAST application for this year (for example if you already applied to the Ronald C. Wornick Jewish Day School, PJCC Preschool, and/or Treehouse @ the J, please do not click the link above. Please use the PIN and personalized link that was emailed to you to after your other application. The additional application will cost $10 if you use the PIN number. If you start a new application the fee is $48. If you do not have the PIN, then you must contact the FAST Call Center at 1.877.326.FAST (3278) to obtain your information.
  • The Financial Assistance committee will review your complete application and inform you of any financial assistance awarded. Families who elect not to complete their camp registration based on financial need will be refunded the $100 per family deposit. Please allow up to three weeks for the refund to process.

Applications must be received no later than April 14, 2023. Financial assistance decisions will be communicated no later than April 21, 2023. Families receiving financial assistance will have until April 28, 2023 to finalize their camp registration.

Required documents for the FAST application include:

  • 2022 Federal and State Tax Return
  • Two most recent paycheck stubs for all working adults in the household

How to Register

Click on the Register button or go to mypjcc.org to register online. When space is full, campers will be placed on a waitlist in the order applications were received.

All registering families will receive a parent packet via email with additional information and camp policies in May 2023.

Multi-Week Discounts

Families who purchase five or more weeks of camp (either multiple weeks per child or for multiple children in the same household) will receive $50 in PJCC Bucks for each week purchased beyond the first four. PJCC Bucks will be available for use beginning in Fall of 2023 and cannot be applied to summer 2023.

Flexible Payment Plans

Enjoy a smaller deposit and two monthly payments! Pay a deposit of only $200 for each week of camp. The remaining camp tuition will be split into two payments billed on April 5, with a final payment made on May 25, 2023.

NEW- Extended Care for only $50!

Drop your camper off as early as 8:00 am and pick up as late as 6:00 pm for only $50 a week! Your camper will enjoy a light breakfast in the morning along with games. Campers in the afternoon will enjoy an additional afternoon snack along with planned activities and outdoor time.

Payments and Deposits
  • Payment of $200 per camp week is due upon registration. Payment is due in full at the time of registration for extended care. The remaining camp tuition will be split into two payments billed on April 5, with a final payment made on May 25, 2023.
  • $100 per camp week is considered a non-refundable deposit.
  • Deposit payments hold your space in camp until May 25, 2023.
  • Registration forms received after May 25, 2023 must include full payment for all programs.
  • Payment is due in full on May 25, 2023. Campers with unpaid balances will automatically be placed on a waitlist on May 26, 2023.
  • Session changes are dependent upon space availability.
Refunds, Pro-rates, Cancellations, and Charges

$100 per camp week is considered a non-refundable deposit. Please allow up to 3 weeks for refunds to be processed.

There are no refunds after May 25, 2023.

Late Pick-Up: Please support Camp KEFF by picking your camper up on-time. We don’t want to have to assess late fees. Campers that are continually picked-up late may be removed from the camp program.

Holiday Closures

Camp KEFF will be off and will not meet on Monday, June 19, 2023 and Tuesday, July 4, 2023 in celebration of the Juneteenth and Independence Day holidays.

Nutritious Lunch

Save time every morning by signing up for our hot lunch program, which will include a variety of delicious meals for your child. Each day lunch is packaged and delivered directly to your child. Registration details will be provided in the parent packet, which will be distributed in May 2023.
